Culturally responsive. Cross-curricular. Classroom-ready.

CULTURED brings culture into the classroom through integrated units that teach literacy, math, geography, social studies, and SEL - using story, artifacts, and real-world examples.

Each kit includes teacher-ready lesson flows, student workbooks with comprehension and math practice, a curated artifact box, and paired activity books.

For deeper connection, add a live virtual session with a local guide.

How We Teach Culture

We teach culture across the curriculum

Culture isn’t a single lesson - it’s a lens. Our units teach a country or theme through multiple subject areas so learning is classroom-ready and cross-curricular.

  • Literacy & Storytelling

Reading passages, comprehension questions, and folktales from local voices.

  • Math Connections

Real-world problems using local examples (money, measurement, markets).

  • Geography & Maps

Age-appropriate map activities and spatial thinking.

  • Economics & Trade

Simple lessons on local industries, trade, and entrepreneurship for kids.

  • Social-Emotional Learning

Reflection prompts and role-play designed to build empathy and perspective-taking.

Notes from our teachers

I loved the discussion that we had. A lot of these kids have been to places like Mexico, and we even have kids who have been to South America & Asia. One student has been to Fiji! I loved how they admitted that while they initially think different languages sound weird, they realize that English probably sounds weird to them. They agreed that it is better to be curious than to judge. They also talked about how we can learn things from other cultures. Sometimes we don't realize that their ways can be better than ours (or just different, not better or worse).

The kids loved the culture box! They were tasting all of the different candy & cookies. It was hilarious hearing their responses. The brochure is great! Short & sweet. Good little tid bits. Interesting facts without being too overwhelming. The kids want to do another country!
